Before saving
- Choose the intended page size and orientation.

- Confirm the page count is plausible.
Markdown to PDF workflow
MD Studio uses the browser's print workflow. Edit the Markdown, inspect the rendered preview, open Print, choose a PDF destination when your system provides one, and review the saved file.
The result depends on MD Studio's print styles plus the browser, operating system, page size, margins, scaling, and available fonts. Use it for straightforward documents; use a dedicated publishing system when you require templates, exact pagination, tagged-PDF controls, headers, footers, or press-ready output.
Vendor references: Print from Chrome and Print in Microsoft Edge. Dialog labels and PDF destinations vary by browser and operating system.
| Content | Likely issue | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Wide GFM table | Clipping or very small text | Simplify columns, use landscape, or move detail outside the table |
| Long code line | Horizontal clipping | Wrap deliberately, shorten the example, or verify overflow behavior |
| Remote image | Not loaded in MD Studio preview | Use a trusted destination that can resolve it or handle the image separately |
| Large heading near page end | Orphaned heading | Inspect pagination and adjust content structure if needed |
| Very long document | Slow preview and fragile pagination | Split into sections or use a dedicated document pipeline |
No PDF is uploaded to an MD Studio document server. The browser and operating system handle the print or save operation.
Print layout, fonts, margins, scaling, and PDF destinations are provided by the browser and operating system. Preview and test in the environment that will create the final file.
MD Studio provides a restrained print stylesheet, not a theme or publishing-template system. Use a dedicated renderer when exact branding and pagination are requirements.
A correct Markdown preview does not prove that every printed page is correct.
